Our neuro-aging division focuses on healthy aging as well as neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. The role of epigenetics in the aging brain creates opportunities for modifying gene expression for optimal brain health as well as seeking out disease modifying treatments. We employ data science tools that allow for processing of vast amounts of data, analysis of epigenetic pathways, and curation of optimized treatment options which have previously been unavailable.
Our goal is to combine all of the world’s research to create everyday options available to those living with dementia and their caregivers to improve cognition, as well as modify the progression of the disease. It is believed that the hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease start to accumulate in the brain 10-20 years prior to any evident symptoms. Engaging in a strategy for a healthy brain may help prevent or delay the onset of symptoms for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
